PTFA REPORT

Saint Bernadette’s has an active PTFA which supports the school with a variety of fund raising and fun activities. These include an annual Bonfire Night, which is well attended and enjoyed by the school and local community.

Wombourne Carnival provides a great challenge to dress the best float in the village and this becomes a great social event for our families, both in the preparation stages and on Carnival Day itself.

Plans for the year ahead include a Christmas Bazaar on November 24th and a Summer Garden Party in June 2006. In addition to these events there are termly Discos for the children, as well as Quiz Nights, Easter Egg Hunts, Sponsored Cycle Rides and other fun activities.

In the past year some of the funds raised were used to purchase printed T-shirts for the School Choir, Christmas crackers/Selection boxes and Ocarinas with accompanying music books.

The PTFA has a core of very active and supportive members whose work is greatly appreciated. We are always happy to welcome new members and new ideas to enrich the children’s experiences at St. Bernadette’s.
